Dr Patrick Weinrauch is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1997. He completed Advanced Training in Orthopaedic Surgery and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2006. He then undertook advanced post-graduate Fellowship training in the surgical management of hip disorders. In 2007 Dr Weinrauch was appointed as Clinical Fellow Hip Surgery at the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire England, specialising in hip arthroscopy and hip replacement, including hip resurfacing and revision hip arthroplasty. During this time he also trained at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham UK under Mr John O'Hara, specialising in hip resurfacing and joint preservation surgery, including pelvic and femoral osteotomy. In 2008, Dr Weinrauch established the Brisbane Hip Clinic at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, Brisbane Australia.

Dr Weinrauch exclusively manages hip joint disorders in adults and adolescents. His practice includes hip joint arthroscopy, hip joint preservation surgery, hip resurfacing and hip replacement procedures (primary and revision). A signficant proportion of Dr Weinrauch's private practice is dedicated to the management of active people, young adults and athletes with hip disorders who wish to maintain high activity levels in both sporting and recreational persuits. 

Dr Weinrauch is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. In 2010 was selected as the Australian Orthopaedic Association's representive for the ABC Traveling Fellowship. He is a member of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia and British Hip Society. In addition, Dr Weinrauch is a member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy and a foundation member of the Australian Hip Arthroscopy Group.

Dr Weinrauch maintains interest in clinical research and orthopaedic engineering, with multiple publications and a Master of Engineering thesis relating to revision of hip joint replacements. He is currently appointed as a Research Fellow to the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. Dr Weinrauch currently serves as the Queensland Scientific Secretary of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. 

Dr Weinrauch consults and operates at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital. He also conducts sessional consulting at Q Sports Medicine (Spring Hill) and Brisbane Sports and Exercise Medicine Specialists (Hawthorne). Dr Weinrauch maintains a VMO public appointment at the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital.
